Cornwall BMX Racing Club has been running for some 21 years. It is the only official BMX Club
in Cornwall, which is governed by the British Cycling Federation. The other official clubs In
 the South West, where inter-club meetings are held regularly are at Burnham, Newton Abbott (Decoy), Exeter, Bideford, Tiverton and Bristol. Cornwall’s track is known as
Kelsters Farm Raceway, which is at ‘Besore’ located between Truro and Wheal Jane .
It is open all year round with weekly meetings from Easter until September and from then
fortnightly meetings are held during the winter period. In April 1999, a local business man,
Tony Curnow of Oak Developments, took on the challenging position of Club Secretary.
At this time there were 15 registered members, it has now grown to over 130 and continues
to expand. This summer (2006) we held our Third Cornish Championships This event was
a great success drawing in over 50 members every week. Over 100 riders entered the 7
week competition. Trophies were presented to every rider that qualified for the
championships and the presentation was made at a special evening out at Truro Bowl.
In December we held our Christmas party, again at Truro Bowl, Which was supported by
over 75 members and their families, a good time was had by all, After our meal all the
regional riders where presented with their hard won trophies for the 2006 season.
The club has 10 regional champions who are: Claudia Dominguez, Charlotte Green, Gail Aspden, Nathaniel Olson, David Price,  Ben Clarkson, Sean Herman, Sam Coleman, Luke Tamblyn, and  Dave Herman.. There where also 13 trophies presented at the party to the following Riders.

These trophies are to be presented to new riders next year at the Christmas Party.
 Cornwall hosted a very successful Summer Regional in 2006. More than 120 riders
attended from all over the South west. They raced in different age groups Varying
from 4 years to 40+ cruisers.

If you don’t have a BMX or you have a Jump bike we have 6 light weight BMX race bikes for anyone to try out. There is a nominal charge of £3.00 per event to use one of the bikes and we even have spare helmets and gloves for your use.
