OLYMPIC BMX
 With BMX being included in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup series will become the platform promoting the Olympic BMX format. With other major events such as the UCI BMX World Championships being based on a large number of participants and age categories, the UCI BMX Supercross will showcase a limited participation number of elite athletes similar to the upcoming 2008 Olympic BMX event.
UCI BMX Track Building Guide
 The UCI BMX track building guide is now published on the http://www.uci.ch/ As a cornerstone within the UCI’s world-wide BMX development plan, this guide should act as a detailed guide how to construct a track that meets international standards.

These guidelines for constructing a BMX track are flexible enough to meet a variety of site characteristics, but firm enough to provide equitable competition and spectator comfort. This guide should NOT be considered an exact drawing of a BMX track, but rather give the constructor a feel for the UCI’s recommendation and requirements. Regional News 2007 All Regionals next year will be Double age groups as Nationals. 11-12, 13-14, 15-16. All regionals will be double headers. We will be using the computer software so make sure the number you register with is the number you use all year. Every one will race there own age group. BC Membership must be produced at the first regional or you will be riding Novice and loose those points.

Regional's proposed at :  Burnham, Decoy Cheddar, Cornwall, Bristol, Bideford and Tiverton.  DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED. Registration will start at 10 am until 11 am. Free practice ends at 10.30. Gates from 10.30 to 12.00. Racing starts at 12.30.

HELP REQUIRED

We are forging ahead with the new venue as quick as we can. The entrance and fence are now finished  so we have access at any time we need. We would welcome more people to come forward to help as there are many jobs that need doing. Speak to Andy, Kelly, Darren, or any of the regular helpers at the track.

Hoodies   Grab a bargan!!! Hoodies are now  £16.00 adult  £12.00 child each.
